Whether it is your first Orion or your second, here are some essential tips and tricks to survive the Orion Weekend!

Have a question that isn’t answered below? Check our Getting Here Page, Ticket FAQ’s, and Festival FAQ’s for detailed answers to all your Festival questions.

Register Your Wristband

This year, we’re making your Official Orion Music + More 2-Day OR 1-Day Pass so much more than a wristband. We’re outfitting each pass with unique RFID technology that lets you interact with your favorite parts of the Festival, enter into great giveaways, earn VIP Upgrades, as well as share your status via Facebook with a swipe of your wrist! Bonus: When you register your Pass, you’ll be automatically entered to win this KH-330 ESP Guitar!

For those of you picking up your Passes at Will Call, you’ll be able to register on site at the Information Center near the Entrance.

Getting To Orion

Make sure to visit our Getting Here Page to get the most up-to-date information on how to get to and from Belle Isle each night!

How do I catch the Free Shuttles?

Go To Cobo Center

Official Orion FREE & Continuous Shuttles are your only option and will run to Orion from the COBO Center located downtown at 1 Washington Blvd.

Shuttle Times

Continuous Shuttles will begin running at 11AM. You must have an Orion Wristband to board the shuttle. There are no added costs.

Cobo Center Accomodations

We will have a Box Office at the COBO Center where you can inquire about your tickets or purchase more! Restrooms will be available to the public in the lobby near the shuttle cue.

Parking Near The Shuttle Location

There are 4 Parking garages located at the COBO Center. These are paid garages. There is NO FREE parking around the Center. There are reduced rate surface lots a couple of blocks North of the Center.

What can I bring?

While we want you to bring whatever you need to make the most of your Orion experience, there are a few things we ask that you leave at home before hitting the Festival grounds. Topping the list are of course weapons, illegal substances of any kind and carts, tents and chairs. Don’t worry, we’ll have plenty of spots for you to perch and grab some shade between sets!

Forgot something? Is it a Festival essential? Then we got you covered! There’s a General Store in Ktulu’s Rock ‘N’ Roll Emporium for any last minute needs.

Check out our Festival FAQs for a look at some of the other things you might be wondering about your weekend with us on Belle Isle. From bringing your youngsters along for the fun to locating on-site medical services, you’ll want to read up on these details.

Get the App & Stay Connected

We’re putting the Orion Music + More experience in the palm of your hand with our Official Mobile App available now for both Android and iPhone! From creating a Custom Schedule to scoping out the grounds in advance of the Festival weekend, you’ll want to download this useful tool to have all things Orion at your fingertips all weekend! And be on the lookout for Push Notifications all weekend to keep you up-to-date and informed about any changes or last-minute updates.

International Roaming

Please keep in mind that picking up both US and CA cell towers is likely, so wherever you may roam, you should either add international roaming to your plan or turn off roaming altogether.

Charging Stations

And want to make sure you have plenty of juice as you navigate the Festival? Use the Cell Phone Charging Stations near the Festival Entrance.

Stay Hydrated

Drink Water! Cut Waste. Refill your water bottle at the FREE filling station next to the Feed ‘Em All Food Court.

Lock It Up!

Stash Your Stuff in a rental locker near the Festival Entrance. You can even get your own before you get down to Belle Isle! Click Here to reserve a locker in advance.

Keep the party going!

Continue the fun at one of the Pre-Shows & After-Shows around Detroit on Friday and Saturday nights. On Friday we have Baroness w/ Coliseum or Chevy Metal featuring Taylor Hawkins of Foo Fighters w/ The Bronx and The Orwells. Then on Saturday we have Dillon Francis, Adventure Club, 12th Planet. Take your pick!
