How can I get to the Festival?

How do I catch the Free Shuttles?

Go To Cobo Center

Official Orion FREE & Continuous Shuttles are your only option and will run to Orion from the COBO Center located downtown at 1 Washington Blvd.

Shuttle Times

Continuous Shuttles will begin running at 11AM. You must have an Orion Wristband to board the shuttle. There are no added costs.

Cobo Center Accomodations

We will have a Box Office at the COBO Center where you can inquire about your tickets or purchase more! Restrooms will be available to the public in the lobby near the shuttle cue.

Parking Near The Shuttle Location

There are 4 Parking garages located at the COBO Center. These are paid garages. There is NO FREE parking around the Center. There are reduced rate surface lots a couple of blocks North of the Center.

Driving Directions to The COBO Center

From North

Southbound on the Lodge US-10, exit Larned St. (on left); right on Washington Blvd. Southbound on I-75 take I-375 to Jefferson Ave. west to Washington Blvd.

From South

Northbound on I-75, exit Lodge US-10 to Larned St. (on left); right on Washington Blvd.

From West

Eastbound on I-96 or I-94, take the Lodge US-10 south; exit Larned St. (on left); right on Washington Blvd.

From East

Westbound on I-94 to I-75 south; take I-375 to Jefferson Ave. west to Washington Blvd.

From Canada

Tunnel crossing: left on Jefferson Ave. west to Washington Blvd. Ambassador Bridge crossing: take I-75 northbound to the Lodge US-10 south; exit Larned St. (left side); right on Washington Blvd.

How will we exit Belle Isle after each day?

Upon exiting the Festival, keep an eye out for Exit signs and Festival staff who will direct you to the Shuttle Exit.

The bridge will be reserved for shuttle and production traffic all weekend.

Official Orion FREE Shuttles are your only option and will run from Orion continuously to the COBO Center.


ADA Accessible Parking at The COBO Center

There is limited accessible parking available at the Cobo Center available on a first come, first served basis to vehicles displaying a government-issued handicapped plate or placard. Accessible shuttles will run from the Cobo Center to Belle Isle. More information about the Access Program.


Coming From Canada?

Transit Windsor is the official Orion transportation provider for those coming over from Canada.

  • Catch the bus to Belle Isle from the Windsor International Transit Terminal, 300 Chatham Street West. The fare is $12.00 round trip per passenger regardless of age. Transportation wristbands are required for boarding the bus in Windsor and Belle Isle.
  • Buses will travel directly to and from the Festival site on Belle Isle on Saturday and Sunday beginning at 11:00 am and will run every 30 minutes throughout the day.
  • Transportation wristbands may be paid in either Canadian or American currency; however, no currency exchange is given. Additionally, if paying for your transportation wristband in American currency, Canadian change will be given.
  • Transit Windsor is also selling Orion Music and More tickets. These tickets can be purchased at the Windsor International Transit Terminal until Sunday, June 9, 2013.
  • You must purchase your Orion Wristband prior to departing for Belle Isle.
  • If you are not using Windsor Transit, you must pick up your Orion Passes at COBO Center and use the free shuttle service from there. COBO Center Box Office hours are 10:00am to 10:00pm Saturday and Sunday. More info on our Ticket FAQ’s page.

Can I Ride My Motorcycle to Belle Isle?

Orion attendees will NOT be able to ride their Motorcycle or Moped to Belle Isle, and there will be no Motorcycle or Moped Parking at the Park.

Can I Use A Boat To Get To Belle Isle?

There will be NO boat or watercraft parking allowed at Belle Isle.

What if I’m taking a bus to Detroit?

Detroit People Mover runs around the downtown Detroit area. The Larned Street, Cass Ave, and COBO Center stations are all within walking distance of COBO Center. For more information, call (313) 224-2134.
